What Happened To The End Of An Era? Dateline: July 25, 2009
It has finally come to pass, that the end of the cassette tape Reversing
Machines are no more. At this time, RS Tech Services cannot locate any
auto-reverse cassette tape players whose quality is of a standard we would
use for the purpose of converting to a Reversing Machine tape player/recorder.
Sony, Aiwa, and Panasonic have all discontinued their auto-reverse models with
no plans to manufacture more so, perhaps cassettes have gone the way of the
historical 8 track tapes. We are still looking for the last few remaining
machines throughout the World that may still exist and should we come across
any they will posted here for sale. We sincerely apologize for the loss of one
of our greatest tools for research and analysis into the discovery of Reverse
Speech. To facilitate continued studies of Reverse Speech, we recommend our
Reverse Speech Pro software which is what we use professionally in our daily
work. The Reverse Speech Pro software simply turns your computer or laptop
into a Reversing Machine that works just like a cassette tape player.
Digital Reversing Machines?
So far, we have been disappointed by the digital player/recorders that we have looked
at. The problem is the low quality of recording format that makes them useless for
Reverse Speech analysis and in my personal opinion, not good enough for quality musical
enjoyment either. The high end digital models that do record at high enough formats
are as expensive as a computer so you may as well spend the money on a computer which
offers so much more for the money. We continue to look for a model in a reasonable
price range with the high formatting and expect we will see these in the not too distant
future.
